History visitors

Hard on the heels of their antecedent Alfred, came the Henderson family, retracing his path along the Bridle Trail from Isandlwana to Rorke’s Drift. Alfred managed to retain the NNC for long enough to build the barricades at the Mission Station, so could be labelled its saviour. The family celebrated by decapitating a champagne bottle with his sword for their breakfast cocktail.

Summer weather

Lots of rain and lots of sun; and look what turned up at the end of the rainbow

Isandlwana Ride

We inaugurated a straight ride from Isandlwana to Rorke’s Drift at the beginning of the month and guests’ comment “We had an awesome horseback ride, which is the best way to experience the scenery and get to know the people”.

Never mind the pain; relish the experience!

Better phones

We now have dedicated lines for incoming and outgoing calls so hope that callers will not find us engaged when ringing our main number. The alternatives are in the header above. The cell no. is still the way if there are storms about.

Please book early and we will be asking for a deposit to secure. Full details from Reception 034 642 1760/1/2
